We are NEW DAY AT WORK architects, founded by Nandi Degrave and Alexis Wauters. We met while studying at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent, where Nandi specialised in Advanced Architectural Design and Alexis in Urban Architectural Design. Nandi contributed to the Streetscape Territories research project in New York and gained professional experience at dmvA architecten before co-founding NEW DAY AT WORK architects in 2019. Alexis completed an Erasmus exchange at Istanbul Technical University and took part in the Meesterproef for the Flemish Government Architect. Before joining NEW DAY AT WORK architects in 2019, he worked with Stéphane Beel and awg architecten.

At NEW DAY AT WORK architects, every project begins with a thorough understanding of the program, the users, and the context; considering light, views, history, and future potential. This deep insight forms the foundation for design. We carefully study how spaces connect, how light moves, and how materials come together. Through this attention to detail and spatial relationships, solutions arise that meet practical needs while carrying a quiet, poetic quality. Our goal is to create architecture with a clear identity, spaces that function well and feel grounded in their environment.
